I think this is a phenomenon specifically applicable to very young women – and by very young, I mean those in their twenties. And, obviously, not all young women in their twenties do this, and perhaps there are those in their thirties or forties who still do this, but either way, the phenomenon is the same: after consuming a diet of romantic TV shows, ranging from romantic, Hollywood movies to Korean dramas, and romance novels, they now have an idealised version in their head of what they believe love should look like, and are essentially waiting for their Prince Charming to come into their life and sweep them off their feet.
